1. Definitions

  • "Promotion" refers to the New Customer Exchange Rate offer provided by Africhange.
  • "Promo Limit" refers to the maximum transaction amount (as specified in the Africhange app or website) to which the Promotional Rate applies.
  • "Promotional Rate" refers to the enhanced exchange rate offered to qualifying new users, which is superior to the Standard Rate.
  • "Standard Rate" refers to the base exchange rate published by Africhange at the time of the transaction, excluding any promotional incentives.
  • "Promotion Period" refers to the sixty (60) day window following a new customer's successful onboarding.
  • "Country of Registration" refers to the country in which the user registered their Africhange account and successfully completed identity verification (KYC).
  • "Eligible Route" refers to specific currency pairings (e.g., GBP to NGN, or CAD to NGN) designated by Africhange as valid promotional transfers for a specific region.

2. Eligibility and Scope

Initial Participation

This Promotion is strictly limited to new customers who have not previously completed a successful transaction on the Africhange platform.

Regional Currency Restrictions

The Promotional Rate applies exclusively to Eligible Routes determined by the user's Country of Registration. Promotional corridors vary by region, and the Promotional Rate is only valid if the selected currency pairing is actively promoted for the user's registered country.

Transaction Cap

The Promotional Rate is applicable only to the user's first three (3) successfully completed transactions on an Eligible Route, provided they occur within the 60-day Promotion Period.

One-Time Use

Each customer is eligible for this Promotion once. Duplicate accounts or attempts to circumvent eligibility via multiple profiles will result in disqualification.

3. Application of Rates

Rate Calculation

The Promotional Rate will be applied to qualifying transfers up to the designated Promo Limit.

Excess Amounts

For any single transaction exceeding the Promo Limit, the portion of the transfer up to the Promo Limit will receive the Promotional Rate. The remaining balance exceeding said limit will be processed at the Standard Rate in effect at the time of initiation.

Completion Requirement

A transfer is deemed "Successful" only upon the verified delivery of funds to the recipient's account. If a transfer is cancelled, timed out, reversed, or fails for any reason, the Promotional Rate associated with that specific attempt will not be preserved or carried over to future transactions.

4. Validity and Amendments

Discretionary Changes

All exchange rates, including the Promotional Rate, are subject to market volatility and may be adjusted at Africhange's sole discretion.

Cancellation Rights

Africhange reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate this Promotion at any time without prior notice. However, any qualifying transfer initiated prior to such cancellation will be honored at the agreed Promotional Rate.

Exclusion

Promotional rates do not apply to transactions initiated outside of the 60-day Promotion Period, regardless of the user's remaining transaction count.

5. Compliance, Fraud, and Abuse

Monitoring

Africhange monitors all promotional activity for signs of abuse or attempts to "game" the system.

Disqualification

Africhange reserves the right to void any Promotional Rate and/or revert a transaction to the Standard Rate if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the user has:

  • Violated the spirit of the promotion.
  • Engaged in fraudulent activity.
  • Breached the Africhange Master User Agreement.

6. Disclaimer on Advertised Rates

Indicative Nature of Displayed Rates

Any exchange rates, promotional rates, or pricing information displayed on Africhange's website, mobile application (including splash screens and rate calculators), or in any marketing or third-party materials are provided for general informational purposes only. Such rates are indicative and do not constitute a binding offer, contract, or financial commitment.

Basis of Eligibility

Eligibility for promotional rates is determined solely at Africhange's discretion and is contingent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to the user's verified Country of Registration, associated home currency, transaction corridor, account status, and applicable regulatory or compliance requirements.

Account-Specific Determination

The final and legally applicable exchange rate, promotional offer (if any), eligible transaction routes, and applicable limits shall be those displayed within the user's authenticated account at the time of initiating and confirming a transaction. Such displayed terms shall supersede any prior advertised or indicative rates.

Variability and Market Dependency

All rates are subject to change due to market fluctuations, liquidity conditions, operational constraints, and regulatory directives. Africhange does not guarantee the availability of any advertised rate at the time of transaction.

Right to Amend or Withdraw

Africhange reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to modify, suspend, or withdraw any rates, promotions, or eligibility criteria, subject to applicable laws and regulatory obligations.
